i have recognized issues on my server - maintained by a friend of mine


the installer-script shows complains about the session-path -(that it is not writeable)

some findings:

whereas i have the user user 2000 as owner of all the files on the limesurvey-script the files

here
sites/www/my_domain.de/umfrage/tmp/runtime/cache/
has the owner 30



again - all the rest is owned by user 2000

also - the files in the
tmp/
assets
owner 30


question : could this cause issues - and lead to the signal "temp-path is not writeable for the session"?

Am running SuseLinux. Have unpacked and run installation script, but find it stalls continuously at the Pre-Installation check. The two warning which are apparently really errors (since installation is not allowed to proceed) are:

Could find no online docs to provide any insight into further troubleshooting.
Have provided annotated screen shots to confirm directory permissions are set per installation docs.
Any suggestions welcome.

Since nobody knows what the settings where changed when Suse was installed, you might run into security tools like AppArmor or SELinux. You need to consult the documentation of your Suse Linux version to see what is enabled by default and how you can change these setttings.

Well we struggle with the issues here - my serveradmin says that the temp-folder is writeable.


are there any further tests that we can apply - to go further. ...


btw. my serveradmin told me that he guesses - that the installer-test is wrong - that the installer-script is broken.. in some way.


we need to go ahead with the installation - but at the moment it is not possible!?

on a sitenote: i have the limesurvey installed beneath a wordpress- could this cause the issues!?

If it's not set : it's not writable …
