Huge zipped web directory with only 1 survey V 3.22.11+200330 was created by bulgin
Is it normal for version V 3.22.11+200330 web directory with just 1 survey and only like 10 questions to be zipped up into a file that is 1.2G?
Zipping up the entire web directory for transfer to another computer. This does not include the .sql file.
That seems a bit large for a single survey.
Are there some directories or files that can be eliminated or reduced?

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

You really zipped the web directory of the application?
Then I should say: Yes.
In total your web directory may contain about 30000 files.
And there are really big ones, e.g. the font files.
Have a look at the assets and especially at the tmp/asset folder.
So to copy an installation:
Install this version on the other machine, and copy the
"upload" folder
"plugin" folder (if you installed further plugins)
and the adapted "config.php" in "application/config". Here you have to adapt the credentials of your new database.

This doesn't depend at all on the number of surveys or questions. These are mainly stored in the database. Only some resources of surveys (images,...) are stored in a folder of the web space. That seems a bit large for a single survey.

Oh, okay. I see. I'm used to copying over zipped up content management systems, but I guess that doesn't work here. So I'll try your method.
Thank you Joffm!

Well, of course you may copy it.
But you wondered about the size of the zipped file.
But there was one mistake in what I wrote.
It is not necessary to install.
Just upload the files and copy the mentioned folders/files.
By the way: This is the normal and recommended way to update. (without ComfortUpdate)
