Hello,
I have freshly installed version 3.22.8 and tried to import a survey (.lss file). LimeSurvey response:

Redirects to:
Code:
<my-web-server>/limesurvey/index.php/admin/survey/sa/copy

Response:
Code:
Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource. Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Server at <my-web-server> Port 443

Note 1: I tried to import a file with invalid extension (e.g. *.pdf), and the system answered "Import failed. You specified an invalid file type 'pdf'."
Note 2: I tried to import a corrupted file (a .lss with invalid content), and the system answered "An error occurred uploading your file. This may be caused by incorrect permissions for the application /tmp folder."

Most probably, this is not a bug. However, IT personnel and me have no clue on where to look in the OS/filesystem/installation to find the problem. We have n-checked the directory permissions and installation requirements indicated in the Manual. Above follows the info from the installation:
Code:
LimeSurvey version 3.22.8 LimeSurvey build 200309 Operating system Linux webserver2 4.15.0-88-generic #88-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 11 20:11:34 UTC 2020 x86_64 PHP version 7.2.24-0ubuntu0.18.04.3 Web server name <my-web-server> Web server software Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Web server info Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Server at <my-web-server> Port 443 Database driver mysql Database driver version mysqlnd 5.0.12-dev - 20150407 - $Id: 3591daad22de08524295e1bd073aceeff11e6579 $ Database server info Uptime: 16154289 Threads: 1 Questions: 434803574 Slow queries: 6384 Opens: 3395204 Flush tables: 1 Open tables: 400 Queries per second avg: 26.915 Database server version Uptime: 16154289 Threads: 1 Questions: 434803574 Slow queries: 6384 Opens: 3395204 Flush tables: 1 Open tables: 400 Queries per second avg: 26.915

If anyone has any clue, please let me know.

Regards,
Camilo.

This sounds like a permission problem. Check all permissions of folders like the tmp folder. What permissions does the tmp folder have?

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
