Quotas not working - Limesurvey Version 4.1.7+200224 was created by BenJay
Hi,

I have LS Version 4.1.7+200224 and when I want to set up quotas it gives me this error:


500: Internal Server Error
Table "lime_answers" does not have a column named "language".


I think this is the same problem tracked here: bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=15902


I need this to work desperately. Can somebody help me?

There is not much that you can do than to add a comment to the bug and make sure that the developers are aware that this is a show stopper for you.
Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Well, there is one other option: Go back to 3.x LTS until this is fixed in 4.x

Can I downgrade to 3.x LTS without rebuilding the whole survey that I build in 4.x?

If yes, how can I downgrade?

You cannot "downgrade" unless you previously had an instance of 3.x with a backup.

You can try installing a new instance of 3.x LTS, export your survey (.lss file) from 4.x and import it into the 3.x version.

I installed a new instance of 3.x LTS and tried to import the .lss file that I exported in 4.x but it just crashes.. any suggestions on how I can import .lss files from 4.x into 3.x? Thank you!!!

Hmm...it looks like the 4.x surveys are not backwards compatible.

Correct, a LS4 LSS export is no longer a valid import file for LS3. LS4 accepts LS3 LSS exports.

You can only add your comment to second the issue in the bugticket
bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=15902 to raise awareness.

If you don't switch to LS3 it's wait and check the newest updates.
