Well, actually since Tuesday the 4.3 version doesn't say "stable" anymore.
But you are right. It was labeled as stable before. Not by us though. In my opinion (and Tpartner and Denis probably agree) it should have never received the label "stable".
I am already happy that it doesn't say "stable" anymore. Probably the maximum we could get as an concession on Tuesday.
I can understand the reasons behind giving it the label "stable". If it is a beta or a RC, most users don't test, thus there are no bug reports. So the developers get to a point where there are not bug reports anymore and thus get anxious to push it to "stable. I don't like this philosophy, but I am not asked.
