After upgrading our 3.17 installation, (3.21 and 4.01) I could not login with most accounts. Turns out that the permissions for each user needs to have the "Use web server authentication" selected. Otherwise, it gets caught in a redirect loop as the CAS server and the system login loop. SSO is the same as we had with 3.17. I installed Version 3.21.5+200115 to get it to work with my account, before working out the issue. I have hundreds of users that need the auth_webserver set. Is there a bulk way to do this?

I don't think there are update with this part.

Else : maybe you have to uncheck "Check to make default authentication method (This disable Default LimeSurvey authentification by database)"

Answer was to modify the Fix was to make a change in the file application/config/config-defaults.php
So new users got the setting from the start

I add the cpode tag.

Else : best is to never update confif-default, but upate your config file.
