though I really do not know why somebody displays the group description - in my opinion it is just a reminder in long surveys, where several people are involved, to know what this group is made for - , you may do several things.
1. don't display the group description and show the desired text in a separate question of type "text display" at the start of the group.
2. don't display the group description and show the desired text in the question text of your first question.
3. add this to the source code of the questions where you do not want the group description to be displayed:

So, it's up to you.
