How can we possibly answer that without knowing what Limesurvey version you are using, what question type and the survey structure. Please provide the
Limesurvey version and a small sample survey (.lss file).

This is an "ancient" version that hasn't been supported for quite a while now. Should it be a bug, there will be no bug fix for it. This version has been dropped quite a while ago.
However, provide an example survey, maybe it is not a bug but a wrong setting.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
