Hi,

New to LimeSurvey and installed on my host from download yesterday.

I created a survey, and then wanted to try it out so I copied it (so my original was still clean). Activated the copy and getting the error message in subject when I click Submit.

I found somewhere how to turn on debug, so I did and attach the dump.

I have seen this error on other posts, but they all seem either old or inconclusive.

Help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Export survey via LSS export and import the survey again (which is a different form of copying a survey).
Same error like you attached here?
Code:
CDbCommand failed to execute the SQL statement: SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column '191564X42X1331' in 'field list'. The SQL statement executed was: UPDATE survey_191564 SET `lastpage`=1, `datestamp`='2018-09-27 17:47:39', `191564X43X1357`=NULL, `191564X43X1359SQ001`=NULL, `191564X43X1359SQ002`=NULL, `191564X43X1359SQ003`=NULL, `191564X43X1359SQ004`=NULL, `191564X43X1359SQ005`=NULL, `191564X43X1359SQ006`=NULL, `191564X43X1359other`=NULL, `191564X43X1360`=NULL, `191564X43X1361`=NULL, `191564X43X1362`=NULL, `191564X43X1363`=NULL, `191564X43X1364`=NULL, `191564X43X1365`=NULL, `191564X43X1366`=NULL, `191564X43X1367`=NULL, `191564X42X1331`='Hidden' WHERE ID=2 </p>

What exact version of LimeSurvey is used? Click on the version number at the bottom to get more infos about your server setup.

I recommend to copy via export / import and check again.
If the you still get the same issue, try with different surveys (e.g. create a new one) and copy via function and export/import. If the issue is not there, you might just have a issue in the survey structure or database.

Perhaps only one question is buggy. One approach is to delete one question or questiongroup in a copy of the survey and try to activate again. If that is still results in an error, you delete another question or questiongroup.
Often you can isolate the buggy question after some time.

@jelo, thanks so much for your suggestions.

I believe I am right up to date on the version as only just installed - Version 3.14.9+180917

I tried your export/import approach to a new survey; activated and it worked fine.

Given the source survey in each case (the initial copy, then the export/import) has not changed, I assume there is a bug in the copy function?

Unless there are any other suggestions, I will raise a bug with the LS team.

Thanks again @jelo
