Remove LS logo from survey footer

Hi.
I am using LS for a medical questionnaire. Some patients have commented that they are not comfortable answering a 'free, open source' survey. I have looked in my files to try to find the file but can't locate it. Any ideas welcome. See screenshot for detail.

Thanks
Jack

I agree that it is strange. But it is often easier to pander to these needs than argue!

That's odd, I don't see that footer in a survey using an extension of Fruity. Can you activate a test survey?

Tony Partner

I agree that it is odd that people are scared by "free and open source", but actually I have seen and talked to people like that. I guess "free" is equal to "not good quality" in their mind. And open source means anyone can do anything to this software in their head.

Anyway, be it as it may, I also prefer NOT to show that a survey has been created with Limesurvey. This has nothing to do with LS, but I wouldn't want this to show for any tool.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

All the free hosting services in the new economy boom phase. All these crappy GeoCities webpages ;-)

I had the experience of a few big Ecommerce sites which uses e.g. SurveyMonkey. They had advertising of the tool after submission.

Yeah, different priorities. I have seen quite a few big end clients doing DIY market research. Nothing against it. If they have the capacities and the knowhow and free resources, this makes sense. But they were using Surveymonkey as well, with the ad at the end. I would feel ashamed.

I would always prefer LS over the "monkeys", but hey, this is personal preference I guess.

The footer logo is on the surveylist as well. So isn't really related to a survey, right?

The survey itself on the list, isn't showing any footer with LimeSurvey.

It's only "surveyListFooter" left to modify? Or is the survey with logo footer not shown?
Did you check the SurveyList screen in the used themes?

I thought the same thing. You omitted very important information. The logo is not showing your survey (at least when I tested it), but on the index page. So you need to adapt the template for the index page as well, as Jelo highlighted.
