I created a survey, added question question group and questions, and activated the survey (anonymous=no). The participant table was initialized at that time.
Then added a participant, generated token.
When I clicked send e-mail notifiction, I got an email template.
In the template, the "From" field is empty. (it shows <>)
It is supposed to be populated with the admin email.
So I cannot send e-mail notification.
If I click send button anyway, I get the following error.
Error message: Invalid address: (From): root@localhost
Not all emails were sent:
Some emails were not sent because the server did not accept the email(s) or some other error occurred.
If I manually enter my e-mail (admin email) in the From field, the email is sent.
I am brand new to LimeSurvey.
Where/what should I check?
What I checked:
(1)Config menu -> global setting -> email setting
Current selection: PHP
(2) Survey main page -> Survey general setting
Administrator: my_name (my_email_address)
