The error is 500 as if the page did not exist.
The http error 500 does not mean that the page does not exist, that would be a 404 (
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTTP_status_codes
).
500 means internal server error and is not very specific. Unfortunately, with the information provided, it is almost impossible to help. Limesurvey does not update automatically. Even with the ComfortUpdate updates need to be started by the limesurvey superadmin.
So my guess is that your server software (OS, webserver, database, etc.) have been updated. You should get in touch with the server admin.
Does anyone else have access to your Limesurvey installation as a superadmin?
