Hello,

I did a fresh install of Limesurvey Version 3.5.1+180312, and when I send Invitation email on a basic survey for testing, it won't recognize the placeholder related to participants {FIRSTNAME} {LASTNAME} as well as those related to the survey {SURVEYURL}, but do recognize those which are replaced before sending (ADMINNAME, SURVEYNAME).

Any ideas ?

I just tested in Version 3.5.0+180309 and saw no issues.


Don't care about the German text.

But tell us, is it an anonymous survey or not?

No it's not an anonymous survey.
"Responses to this survey are NOT anonymized."

I assume you are using tokens?

Yes I am using token : "Do you want to create a participant table ?" YES

I also thought it could be database related, like some authorizations on MySQL I won't have - because I use a share database host (OVH).

How did you added information like first-name to the participants list?

I create from the participants survey : "Add contacts", and fill First Name/Last Name/E mail informations.
And then generate Invitation codes and send a dummy invitation mail.
What is weird is that Email information works (I can send all emails to participants).

I also thought it could be Language related (like it won't recognize name fields), because I use French. But I switched to English and didn't notice any differences.

I found out that in HTML mode, some placeholders won't work, and in plain text everything is fine.
Maybe I checked something which prevent sending weird HTML through this website in Limesurvey (?), or maybe it could be host-related.
What do you think ?
Anyway, I have at least a way to make it works in an ugly but efficient way .
