Hi there,

i get the following error when trying to upload a new logo or a picture with the kceditor.

"You dont have permission to browse Server".

If i set disabled => true in third_party/kceditor/conf/config.php it works.

The folder upload and temp have the following rights:

My Hoster says everything is fine.

What shall i do here??

There's no such file in the repository:

github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/tree/ma...third_party/ckeditor

Maybe you should consider a clean install in another folder?

Sorry i meant kcfinder.


This is not working.

Might be a problem with .htaccess. Can you try to delete that file, application/.htaccess.

I do have the same problem with Version 2.73.1+171220.
Everything works if I set disabled to false in the kcfinder config file but
I do not wnat to allow everyone to upload files to my server .


I precise I have no .htacess file and the permissions of my upload/surveys directory are OK

Is there another solution ?

I can't right now upgrade to the 3.71 version
