We currently have the community edition (Version 1.92+ Build 120530) installed on our web server which uses a SQL Server backend. Local programs access the remote LimeSurvey SQL Server tables directly. If we sign-up for the Professional version hosted on LimeSurvey.org, will remote access to the underlying database tables remain available? I understand this might not be SQL Server (MySQL?).
I highly doubt that you will get access to the database on the servers hosted by someone else. But you should ask this directly to the guys from Limesurvey GmbH who are behind the hosted version. Go to "Contact Us" on this website and get in touch with them.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
