Hello,

I'm trying to install LS with the local package (Xampp) on a new laptop.

After intsllation, I can't launch LS because I have the same message :
Internal Server Error
CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection
An internal error occured while the Web server was processing you request.

Anyone has an idea how to solve this ?
I've tryied to instal it on another computer (also runing with Win10 with the same results).

I've already tryied to change the port as mention here

(I don't have skype on this computer neither)

Did you start the modules in Xampp (Apache & MySQL) before opening LS ?

Have you ever install or used Xampp in the past with other application ?

BTW if your laptop is under Windows10, you may prefer to download & install Wampserver (similar to Xampp) + the standard LS package (last release)....

I've arlready install the tool on 5 others laptop (runing on previous WIN 10 (not updated) or WIN8). But now I'm strugglling with this new computer (I guess with an updated version of WIN10).

I don't think that your issue is due to any windows update...

You should first check if everything is ok with your xampp install (access a php.info or other php file, try to install wordpress... )

Did you turned off "World Wide Web Publishing Service" in Windows ? (port 80)

I've founded the solution.
I've uninstall Mcafee and now everything works fine !

Uninstalling McAffee is always a good solution.
