We are working with version 1.92 Build 120919 for a few years now and we are moving to a new host now.
I've already installed the 2.55.2+161103 version.
Hereby I was wondering what's the best way (most safe) to move everything. Do I export every survey to an lss file and import it into my new installation?
I'm asking this question in a new threat because the difference in versions is this big and I'm really worried to do something wrong here.
Ideally you would have created a mysql dump of the database of the old installation, then imported it on the new server, then installed the new version on the the new server, using this database. Then you can see if things work out or not. Usually it works without problems, but there are more than 4 years between your two versions, so there might be some hickups (I hope you keep up with the updates more frequently on the new server...).

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

1. Make a copy of you 1.92 version DB (on the same server if possible)
2. Update this copy to 2.00 version => update DB
3. Update this copy to 2.06 => update DB
4. Update this copy to 2.5X => update DB
After : 2 solution :
- your host is a good host : move SQL dump from one host to other
- export LSA from 1st host to 2nd : lsa contain all : survey + responses + token
