Everything, both the admin interface and the actual surveys are super slow to load.

It took 47 seconds for my survey to fully load. The admin interface is just as bad. It will take 20-30 seconds to load.

What can I do to speed things up or is this a known issue?

Since when does it happen? After an upgrade? Is it a new install?

For me your survey was loading in about 3-4 seconds. This isn't extremely fast, but then you seem to be on shared hosting.

The login screen of your admin panel loaded in about 4-5 seconds.

And I am at the other end of the globe assuming that dreamhost is hosting in the US. So I guess there is some problem with your internet connection.

This was an brand-new install.

I just tried the page again and it's loading faster now. Maybe my host was having problems because I have changed anything since the post. I'll keep an eye on it.

Just ran a quick test on www.webpagetest.org/ .

From: Los Angeles, CA - Chrome - Cable - 31/08/2016 18:20:40 == 1.447s
From: Denver, Colorado USA - Chrome - Cable - 31/08/2016 18:22:55 == 2.019s

So for a webapplication that is so heavy on database and JS, I'd say those are fairly good results.
Given the speed I would assume it is hosted somewhere in California. Guess was right: Location: United States, California, Brea

Either it was a temporary problem on your server or you have serious connection problems between you and your webserver.
