I am running a new install of Version 2.50+ Build 160620 and am having problems getting the CSS file to work properly (at all, actually) in the template editor or in my templates. No styling is applied to my survey (no matter what template I select) and when I attempt to select a .css file to edit in the template editor the screen flickers and the selection returns to editing the startpage.pstpl page. When I select from the three default templates in the template editor the "sample" pages do not appear to be styled either. (I assume there is something "orange" about the "Ubuntu Orange" default template.)
I am not a system administrator for the virtual machine on which lime survey has been installed. My only access is to the lime survey web application. Reading through the forum it sounds like there may be occasional file/directory permission problems that result from how the web application is installed on Linux or Unix. It could be that there is some sort of permission problem with the template/css files. I'd appreciate any info (or links to info) that I could give to my sysadmin (if it is an install problem). Or, if it is something I am doing wrong in LimeSurvey I'd like to know that, too.
Sorry, but with your description it is very difficult to give you any hint. Check with your sys admin the permissions of folders as described in the installation part of the manual.
