I have a Azure VM with a limesurvey installed and I'm trying to
connect the SMTP to office365 and is not working, I've try gmail as well but nothing!

Post your SMTP settings for Office 365 and Gmail.
Don't post password or the compete username/email after the @.
What plan do you use with Office 365?

First guess: TLS/SSL encryption not activated.
Second guess: Office 365 SMTP Settings can be tricky. Depends on plan. There are different ways and sometimes the feature is not available.

With Office365
SMTP host: smtp.office365.com:587
username: username@companyname.se
password: *************

my plan is Office 365 Business Premium.

With gmail

SMTP host: smtp.gmail.com:465
username: username@gmail.com
password: *************

I was talking about the SMTP settings in Limesurvey.

I am not used to Azure VM. But depending how Limesurvey is hosted (from plain VM where you install the OS to Apphosting, where OS and PHP-Stack is provided) a block on outgoing SMTP connection might be actived as well.

You can activate the debugging in Limesurvey.

With office360 : you need to have
smtp username === From parameters === Return path parameters

Then set all email to the one of the smtp setting.

Go to the global settings of Limesurvey. There you find a tab with Emailsettings.
You'll find a setting called "SMTP SSL/TLS". You can set this to 'SSL' or 'TLS' to use SSL/TLS for your SMTP connection.
