I've installed 2.50+ build 160616 to replace 2.06+ build 160129. I unpacked the distro and gave webserver RW access to application/config, templates, tmp, and upload folders. The MySQL database and LimeSurvey schema was pre-existing from 2.06+. Firing up the admin page, I go through basic configuration (LimeSurvey notes that the database already exists).

The problem is that if I go to the template editor, I only get to see the 'default' template even though I choose 'news_paper' or 'ubuntu_orange'. Moreover, the template is mangled; the 'Template Sample' title bar is black on white (should be white on blue) and the top half of the progress bar is hidden behind the title bar.

If I set 'debug' or '0' or '1' in application/config.php, I can view all templates and they are all displayed correctly.

EDIT: Another example of the problem: When debug=0, radio buttons and their associated text are displayed on separate lines. When debug is 1 or 2, the radio button and text display correctly.

Any idea as to what the problem is would be appreciated.

I emptied out the /tmp/assets folder as you suggested, but the problem remains the same.

php-5.3.3-47
mysql-5.5.49-1

Do you think I should be logging this as a bug?

You don't know Remi's Depot : blog.remirepo.net/pages/English-site-introduction . It allow you toi use easily www.softwarecollections.org/en/ for multiple PHP installation.
