LS is showing that a new version is available on the top left of the screen while showing that the version is up-to-date in the middle. Please have a look at the screenshot.

I tried to update with ComfortUpdate It got aborted at the last step asking me to check the log. I am not being able to find the log though. I think the discrepancy has started afterwards.

Did you try to clean the cache? Does the problem proceed? Sometimes it is just some old data stuck in the browser. Once you confirm you did that, we can proceed to check other options.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
