Hi,

It appears there is an intermittent Error 500 given to users on completion of a survey rather than then "Thank You" on my LAMP (CentOS7) system. No data is lost and all information is saved, just the user receives an error when in fact the survey was actually completed successfully. Directory permissions check out so have examined the Apache Log and found these errors? Is there a setting I should modify on the server configuration?

Any thoughts would help as I am fresh out. Thank you

we have got the same problem since a couple of weeks an the php says the same error End of script output before headers:
I tried unsucessfully to activate internal log of limesurvey to find an investigation track. My current running release is Version 2.51.3+160907


On your side, have you solved this issue ? As there is no answer to your questions I don't know if a solution exists

You should post a few infos about your setup. E.g. Webserver, PHP version, Operatingsystem (Linux distribution).

The logfile brady posted looks like an issue between Apache and PHP.
The "zend_mm_heap corrupted" is a sign for that. It often isn't directly related to LimeSurvey, but more like an bug in PHP.

So first step is to look for error logfiles of the webserver and/or php. I am not talking about error-logging inside LimeSurvey.
If you are using a hosting provider it sometime become difficult to get a hand on these logfiles.
But without these logfiles it be nearly impossible to get an idea whats going on.

After much trial and error, I found that if I increase the output_buffering value in the php.ini file, this error goes away
