Hi,
Can anyone kindly advise how to move a Lime survey from one ISP's server to another ISP's server?
Can I avoid having to rebuild the whole survey, by downloading one or more files from my Lime directory on Server1, then uploading those files to my Lime directory on Server2? I want to switch locations, because the first ISP is having some weird servers issue and are slow in correcting things.

My existing Lime survey is Ver 2.06+, but the new, unused copy I today installed on server2 (via Softalicious/Cpanel) is Ver 2.05+ (although Comfort Update tells me it's the latest version!) Does this matter?

TIA, Al
Al

You could try to copy the whole database to the new installation.

However, if you only have one survey, it is best to export the .lss file in the original installation and import it in the new installation.

Or, the .lsa file, which I think includeds the responses so far as well.

I would also try to update to 2.06. Then you have the same versions on both installations.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
