Version is: 2.06+ Build 150730

Thanks for your helping hands.

Did you try to empty your cache?

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Thanks for fast reply! Yes, i did empty all caches. Is there a special cache for limesurvey. May be it is a template problem. Can i change the the template for the admin area? The main admin site shows no add.png in the code?

Greetings

Klaus

I see, there is a "tmp" folder with many subfolders. May be the tmp files causes this problem?

After an update I also had some missing images. But I have a custom admin template. However, without changing anything, the images appeared again (left the solution for a while because didn't have time and now that I was investigating your problem I see the problem is solved).

However, 1h ago I did a clean up on my computer, deleting all the caches and browser files (with ccleaner).

Not sure if this solved the problem, but it seems to.

Before you do anything, try to access Limesurvey with a completely different browser. One you never use to access limesurvey with. If it works there, it is definitely some kind of cache problem.

You can go to "Global Settings" --> "General" --> "Administration template:". Set it to "GringeGreen"

So i thing, we have the whole "General Settings" menue missing"! And the problem is, that we can´t do a new installation because a survey is active for another 3 weeks.

What can we do?

Any help is pretty welcome!

This is weird. This doesn't just come like this ("since i copied a existing survey and deleted it"). What were or the colleagues doing? Any changes to the server? Any server update?

I am not sure what to do. Probably upload the files again. But let's see if someone else has a better idea. Usually this problem is solved by emptying the cache.

I would bet on a update problem. Please try to update to the newest build. Via comfort updater or via manual update.
Get rid of Build 150730 and check again.

An idea for a quick solution :

let say your first installation is available via : first.ls.com

You can download a new LimeSurvey installation, and unpack it somewhere on your server, so you can access it by the url second.ls.com (or with lssecond.com, or any url)

Instead of installing it, just copy/paste the config.php file of the first installation in this new one, so both will use the same database.
You'll be able to create/edit surveys in this new installation. The first survey you published will still be available at the url first.ls.com. If you want to access the new surveys created with the new installation thanks to the url of the first installation, it will be possible. You'll can find those url viewing those new surveys from the admin interface of first installation.

Also, the build 150730 is not the last one. You should simply try to update your first installation.

Sorry, let me bump this one more time, because if this is a bug i think it is important to fix this. I asked one question, if you can delete the whole tmp directory. May be this can fix the issue. Another question was about the url which opens a new survey. I cannot test this because the button has gone, so i need the url to cal in the browser.

Thanks for giving us another helping hand.
