What is the future of Lime?

I am defining "stable" with what LimeSurvey team runs on their hosting. If I spin up a new instance on account.limesurvey.org, it sill spins up only V3. Did this just today for test and it still runs only v3 with no option to select the "stable" v4.

For me it is hard to consider V4 stable while LS team itself runs v3 on their hosting.

Good and real point :+1:

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member, professional service on demand , plugin development . I don't answer to private message.

I consider that as an open secret. Looking at the SaaS offering by LimeSurvey GmbH is the best indicator for the most trusted version of LimeSurvey cause that is where "skin is in the game".  The definition of "stable"  changes with the point of view. Development vs.operations. E.g. not being able to capture data can be as bad as the loss of data. There is lot of improvement going on to get a better code quality. There is a good chance that V5 will mature cause there is not much time for new features while refactoring code. The lack of features seem to be no big issue for many users. At least with the current pricelevel. The biggest threat seem to be the ongoing search for a lead engineer and a product owner ( www.limesurvey.org/careers ).
