A user said that "inherit" in survey settings is not a good term for beginner. He suggested "default" instead. What other think?

Also, why don't we have just "Questions" and "Question groups", when we also have "Resources" etc. and not "Resource list"?

"Inherit" is more accurate as, if used, these settings are actually set in a parent theme. A default would be set by the core software.

Cheers,

Technically true, but I guess that for normal user it would not be hard to later learn that "default" means "default as defined in some upper level".

It was not easy to find the best term. I would stick to inherit since that's the purpose of the inheritance system. Default may be a bit misleading. Not sure if there is any other term that can be used in exchange though

Sometimes it could actually be nice to see what options are inherited from global settings and what from survey group.

Yes true ;)

But have a cleaner easy string for start :)

Survey are (by definition) "Inherited by Survey group"
Child survey group (by definition) "Inherited by parent survey group"
Survey group without parent "Inherited by global option" (or theme …)"

After : we can improve and put (for survey) "Inherited (by Survey group «The name of my group»)"
or "Inherited (by global option)"

I think "inherit" is the correct term here.

OK, then we go with that.

What about "Questions" instead of "Question list"?

Where do they show up, where are they relevant, confusing?

They are in the left side menu of a survey, shown to survey admin. I think that "Question list" and "Responses" at the same menu is highly illogical.
