Date/Time question not caollecting responses

Date/Time question not caollecting responses was created by johnf
Hi,
I'm using the Date/Time question with the format set to 'HH:MM A' and the responses are not being captured by LimeSurvey.
Even when a valid entry is made, the response is blank. This presents a problem with a Mandatory question, because LImesurvey presents an error message even when a valid entry has been made.
If the format is changed to 'HH:MM' this one works fine.
This seems like a bug to me... any suggestions or HELP.
The 'am/pm' portion is valuable part of the question since 24 hr time ('HH:MM') is not ideal.
Thanks all.

manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Date#Date.2FTime_format
But since the display is supported we should rate this as a bug.
I have created a bugticket for you.

The display of the hours is 24. That seems to better limited to 12 too.
Personally I still wonder why countries stick to AM/PM in 2017.
Perhaps this shouldn't be seen as bug but as a motivation to adapt 24hours

The documentation is not showing the A a as a valid parameter for date/time format.johnf wrote: This seems like a bug to me... any suggestions or HELP.

Hi,
Maybe not on LS manual, but date function must be same than php : secure.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php .
Then : seems to be a bug.
@johnf : can you put a litlle lss file on the report ? Just to show the issue (can be one or two question only)

Hahahaha, this is a good one. And while they are at it, they could just adapt to the metric system as well.
But I guess it is not gonna happen any time soon, so don't hold your breath.
