Hey!

I'm a bit lost about conditionally actions based on answer for survey question. I have two question groups Q1 and Q2. The last question in both groups has 'yes/no' radio choice. 'Yes' answer in Q1 should direct to the first question in Q2 and continue survey. 'No' answer should close the survey. How to do it?

You can use quotas for this, if you have some kind of "screen out" process, just like Tpartner said.

But in your case you can also use conditions or expressions to hide the second question group if the last question in group Q1 mas marked as "no".

Thank you Tony but Im afraid it's not about quotas and limits. I just want continue survey (jump to the next question group) whenever the answer is 'YES' or close the survey if it's 'No'.

As holch writes: set a condition to each answer group you want to skip (in your case: to all groups after the selection question).

They way you described it in the first place, a zero quota would do what you wanted. However, if there is a third question group, then you will definitely need to create conditions/expressions based on the yes/no question.

As you want to hide the whole group, then the best approach is to write an expression for the group, e.g. assuming that the question code of the yes/no question is g1c and the answer yes codes as 1 this needs to be put into the field "Relevance equation" for the respective group that should be shown or hidden:

Question Group A

QuestionA1 - some text question
QuestionA2 - YES/NO

Question Group B --> Relevance equation A2==1

QuestionB1 - some text question
QuestionB2 - YES/NO

Question Group C --> Relevance equation B2==1

QuestionC1 - some text question
QuestionC2 - YES/NO

Well, my version only would work if the answer code for "yes" is set to "1" (see my assumptions). If you have set any other answer code for "yes", then you need to use this answer code.

In your case, if you have set the answer code for "yes" to "Y", then of course the relevance equation needs to be A2=='Y'.

I think klifer probably used a Yes-No question which has fixed answer codes "Y" and "N".

I didn't think of that question type. I never use those predefined ones. Even if I need a yes/no question I would create a normal single choice question with answer options yes and now.

I only tought about the multiple choice questions, where the "Y" is standard, but not about the yes/no question (just doesn't exist in my head - filtered out).
