I've created several 'master' surveys (for schools re: school improvement) and now would like to copy and modify for individual school sites.

However, after I select the survey to copy, re-name and hit 'copy', I receive the follow message.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 101761 bytes) in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\limesurvey\framework\vendors\htmlpurifier\HTMLPurifier.standalone.php on line 12216


Please advise. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the error message is quite clear, isn't it?

Your server allows 134217728 (128MB) bytes of memory and they are exhausted. The script to copy your questionnaire would require another 101761 bytes (about 1MB).

Seems like your questionnaire is too big to be copied with this server limit. So you will need to increase the memory allowance.

Your limit is quite good already with 128MB, so your questionnaire needs to be quite big/long/complicated to run into problems here.

That's what I thought but needed confirmation. The surveys are only between 35 to 45 questions each with selected response (5-pt scale)
I am not a computer technician or programmer - but a classroom teacher using this tool for school purposes.

I will put in a request to have more memory allowance.

Do you copy the survey with a super admin ? If not, try.

Or try exporting and importing instead of copying.

Try the suggestions from Dennis and Tpartner.

Because 35-45 questions doesn't seem to be too big for 128MB of memory.
