Dear developers,

I experienced that the quick translation can save the translated data for
* Survey title and description
* Welcome and end text
* Question groups
* Questions
but it does not work for
* Subquestions
* Answer options

I filled in most of the translations for Subquestions and Answer options, hit save, but when it refreshes and loads, only the first field has the translation.

Could you please help me out?

The question is three years old, but I still have the same problem. Especially with answer options.

Which version/build of Limesurvey is used? Three years is a short period of time for some bugs. Sad but true.

We are using Version 2.06lts Build 160329.

In this context I would like to express a wish: It would be awesome if LimeSurvey provides the oportunity to export a language of a survey and import it later as new language (for the same survey, including the oportunity to switch languages whenever the users wish). In this case we would be able to send the exported files to professional agencies for the translation.

Solution :
Create the survey with X language, set it whole in english (best is to create in english, and add all language after)
Export the survey in TSV/TXT format
Open in [strike]excel [/strike] LibreOffice calc, select the line for each language
Send it to professionnal
Paste in the excel
Save it in CSV (Tab separator), rename it with .tsv (or in TXT for excel)
Import it

And feature request must be done in mantis.

I have that on my list too. But I don't see that getting realized in the next five years. I might submit a feature request in 2017 when LS 3.0 will be conceptualized. There is a lot more basic stuff lacking. Feel free to add the feature now via ideas.limesurvey.org/

@jelo : i have this in my list of "todo" in plugin : export language file / import one language file

Just checked quick translation and it is really a great feature. For a long survey, it would be helpful to give us the option to fill/save translations in three modes, "Question by Question" , "Group by Group" and "All in one". A plugin or something will be helpful. Is there any tool where developer bid for a feature request and supporter contribute to that bidding amount. Once the bidding amount gets funded then developer start working on it and when feature request gets completed then amounts will credit to dev.
