Hi everyone,I recently played a word puzzle game called
Letter Boxed
, where the goal is to connect letters from different sides of a box to create words that use all letters without repeating any. It got me thinking about survey design in LimeSurvey especially for creating
logical, engaging flows.Just like in
Letter Boxed, where every letter must be used efficiently, I want my surveys to:
- Ensure every question is meaningful and leads naturally to the next
- Avoid “dead ends” or repeated questions that frustrate respondents
- Keep participants engaged from start to finish
I’m experimenting with using
visual blocks and conditional paths to mimic the strategic thinking of
Letter Boxed: each section of the survey is like a “side of the box,” and respondents move through them in a way that covers everything without overlap.I’d love to hear from others:
- Has anyone tried creative approaches to survey flow that feel “puzzle-like” but intuitive?
- How do you structure complex conditional logic so respondents don’t get stuck or confused?
- Any tips for making long surveys engaging while still collecting all the necessary data?
I think borrowing ideas from games like
Letter Boxed could help make surveys more interactive and enjoyable and I’d love to hear if others have tried something similar! Thanks!
