==================
I want to create a question with 8 versions, but I want only one version of the question to appear to each respondent in the survey. I tried to create a hidden question and then set a condition for these 8 versions based on the hidden question. For example, if the answer to the hidden question is 1, version 1 should appear, and if the answer to the hidden question is 8, version 8 should appear. However, neither the hidden question nor any of the versions of the following question, which are classified as text display, are appearing.

Your LimeSurvey version: Version 2.67.1+170626

First of all: Your version of Limesurvey shouldn't really be used in the wild anymore.
- First of all, LS2.5x was probably the worst release of Limesurvey ever.
- Second: You are not even on the latest version of this branch
- Third: Your version is 7 years old and hasn't received any update, bug fixes and security updates since.
- Forth: This branch of LS is EOL for years now.

Now to your problem: Ideally you show what you did so far, your survey as an LSS export.

Usually you would create a hidden equation type question and create a random number from 1-8 and then create conditions on the questions to show or hide them.

How to create a hidden question with a random number has been described numerous times in this forum.

So what is your exact issue? Where is it failing? At the moment you are just saying: "it doesn't work". But we need a little bit more information to help you. Because if you do it right, it works. So now we need to know what you did, so see where things went wrong.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
