Hello All,

I really tried to look about this topic in the manual, but could not find it

1. I would like to change the default error messages, do not know where to do that. 
2. When a new question is created I want the the default value of Hide tip to be ON (Display menu) . There is no option in Configuration / Global survey for this.

This would need to be changed in the language files. Basically you would "translate" the messages differently.

While you can change it in the language file for the language you are using, every update could overwrite this. So if this is something that you don't think will be accepted as a general change in the language file fo this specific language (e.g. it is specific to your case and is not the "correct" translation), then you might want to look into create "your own language" and have your own language file. You can probably copy an existing one and modify it.

What message? There have a bunch of error message.

Some can be done via question settings, some via theme only, and some other need more complex solution.

I fully agree with this one. Besides that: when you indicate: Hide tip "No" it is in fact a double negation. I think UI-wise this setting needs to change to: Show tip: Yes/No. Just because we always (in other places in the UI) formulate in a positive way.

You are right. I will try to find some categorization about all the messages, possibly in a structured way in the manual or in the forum. 

If can not find, I will create a table (when I will have time) , so it may help others to understand the bunch of message options, and where to edit them. Although holch's message suggests, that most of them can be edited on a hard way.

You seem to speak for Question error message, right ?

For example, for numeric question min value and max value, you can leave min and max value to empty, and for valiation : (self.NAOK > 0 and self.NAOK <= 10) and for the tip: "You made an error, it must be between 0 and 10"
