Hello together,

i would really appreciate your help with a design question. I have a task description in my survey where participants should check a box at the end to make sure they have read the task. Since I only want participants to go to the next page if they check the box, I have marked the question as a mandatory question. However, as a result, there is now a "*" at the beginning of the task description, which looks a bit irritating. Is there any way to hide this "*"?

Thank you in advance & kind regards, Luissa

Hey Joffm,

thank you very much for the quick reply. I 've just read it. But unfortunately I have one more question which I don't fully understand. Can you tell me if I do I only delete the asterisk for one mandatory question and not for all mandatory questions with this approach ? For the other questions, the star should remain.

Kind regards
Luissa

To hide it generally it's the best to add the css to the "custom.css" of your extended theme.

If you insert it into the question text it only affects the objects on the actual page.

But these are questions you should try by yourself.

Thanks again! But I think I can't change custom.css because I lack permission because I have a uni version. Is there a way to hide the "*" for a specific page without this permission?

which looks a bit irritating

This is basically a standard with questionnaires to have the * indicating mandatory questions. I don't think it will "irritate" anyone.

To do it for one question only you insert the CSS into the the question.

Something like this:
Code:
<style>
       .asterisk {display: none;}
   </style>

Best solution in this case,

in custom.css.hide-mandatory-asterisk .asterisk {display: none;}And in CSS Class setting of the needed question : hide-mandatory-asterisk

Hey I tried to insert this code into the question but unfortunately nothing changed. May you tell me where exactly I should put it, to make sure that I did it correctly?

Thanks, Luisa

Did you insert it in source code mode?
