Delete manatory asterisk on LS 5

Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: [ Version 5.4.15+221212
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: own server
Survey theme/template: extended vanila

I want to remove the asterisk in front of manatory questions.  All the information I find is for previosu versions and something must have changed. 
In the custom CSS of the extention I have tried "hidden" and also to change the color (maybe to white)
I am clearing my cache.

Any suggestions?
