Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: 3.22.15+200505
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Own server - MySQL 5.7.24
Survey theme/template:
==================
User A has created surveys in LimeSurvey and would like to give permissions to User B.  Both users have LS accounts.  Within the survey permissions, the user list to select who to provide permissions to is empty (when we have over 60 users).

I never use these permissions, but are user A and user B in the same User group? This might be something to look at, but this is just a good guess now.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Hi, thank you for your reply. We don't provide global permissions that would allow all our users to see everyone's surveys, so survey permissions is a good way for us to collaborate when required.

To answer your question, User A and User B are NOT in the same user group but we aren't using user groups so it shouldn't matter. It's working for other users/surveys (i.e. they can see the user list when trying to assign permissions). I'm at a loss as to why this one user can't see the list.

Unless you are a super admin, I think you can only see users you have created.

Any user can see all existing users in the list (instead of the empty list you have) if the admin has set "Group member can only see own group" on "Off" in Configuration > Global > Security.
