Hm, it's a bit difficult to say something about a more than 5 years old version.
The 2.50/2.73 branch started very clumpsy and your release is one of the first.
I could not reproduce in 2.73.1, the last release of that branch.

How to fix/patch it?
Consider an update.

I agree with Joffm. Die 2.5x/2.7x version war vor allem am Anfang voller Bugs. Your version 2.52+ was a very early version of that branch, so it will contain loads of other bugs as well. To be honest, I would have never used the 2.5x and its followers up to 2.7x in production.

You are running a version that is 5,5 years old and has never been updated since. So I don't think it is even worth to discuss how to fix/patch it. You should do regular updates to Limesurvey. I am sure that this problem is solved in new versions of that branch, but to be hones I would go straight to LS 3 or even LS 5, I don't think it is worth to spend any time on LS 2.5x, as it hasn't been supported for quite some time now.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
