==================

Hi everybody!
I'm having problems on setting up conditions on question group. I have 5 questions groups. In the first question group i have a general consent statement. If users accept it, the survey would open up the second question group, third and fourth question group. If not, they would be automatically transferred to the 5 question group. Setting conditions for question is very easy, but i can not see the button for setting the conditions for question groups. I have also tried using the conditions manual but it didn't help. What should i type in condition box if i want something like this?

Tnx!

Unfortunately you didn't answer the questions.
But you may read here:
www.limesurvey.org/manual/Question_groups_-_introduction/en

Well, in this case I have to say: Consider an update.
Version 4.1.1. is one of the first releases of this branch.
And 4.x. had a real clumpsy start with a later relaunch.

But the answer is the same: Edit the group. There you will find the option to enter your relevance equation.
But you use the word "condition".

Please do not use this "condition designer". It is really outdated.
Use "ExpressionManager/Script" instead.
It is easier to use, more flexible,

Tnx. I know the version is outdated but the administrators are not planing an upgrade any time sooner.
When i want to edit the question group i see the box Condition. That's why i'm saying condition. I know that some kind of equation should be entered here, but i'm not sure how to write it. I really like the some parts of LimeSurvey, but some options are really not easy to figure out, for example this one. And the manuals are not to helpful also.

Joffm, I think in LS 4 and 5 the relevance equations now are called (sometimes?) conditions. I think I saw this before.

Help us to help you!
 • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
 • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

but some options are really not easy to figure out,

Advanced features, advanced knowledge.

You should read the manual about the expression manager and equations.

Usually it is quite easy to write. Without know the structure of your questions it is difficult to know how the equation must be written.

The conditions manager might be easy for "easy" stuff, but the relevance equations (now obviously called conditions) are relatively easy to learn and way more flexible and generally also a lot quicker.

But for example, if you want to show a question (or question group for this matter), if question Q1 was answered with the answer code 1, then you write something like this in the relevance equation / condition:
{Q1==1}
