Integrating jPlayer with Limesurvey Cloud was created by paul.emmines
Your LimeSurvey version: 5.2.10
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Limesurvey Cloud
Theme: Bootswatch

==================

I'm looking to play audio for participants to rate.  There doesn't need to be any visual with it, simply autoplay the audio for the relevant question group, then play the next piece of audio when the participant moves to the next question group. (So the js code to play will need to be applied to the group, rather than to the question.)

Is jPlayer the best solution?  It needs to be universal for all devices (HTML5 won't work for example as Apple block autoplay etc etc.)  Most of the forum articles on this topic are 7/8 years old and all assume that you have your own server, rather than a cloud instance.

Can jPlayer be used with Limesurvey Cloud, or is there an alternative audio solution that can be implemented in the cloud version?

One drawback of cloud hosting is the inability to upload files but you should be able to load jPlayer from a CDN.

How would the code look for using a CDN? I'm not requiring any visual representation of the player - just autoplay some streamed audio for each question group. The next question group would play a different piece of audio.

You can copy whole jsplayer script in custom.js maybe ?
github.com/jplayer/jPlayer/blob/master/d...er/jquery.jplayer.js

Seems to be a good idea to add jplayer as plugin : just add the package, theme and questintheme can use it.

If you Google "jPlayer CDN", you will find CDN sites that give code snippets to import the JavaScript and CSS.

Regarding the layout/functionality of the player itself, those questions are not LimeSurvey-specific so should be directed to the jPlayer site or other resources.

Yes, that would work too.
