I agree, either do it correct, or not do it at all.
Maybe better to completely disable this on screens that are smaller than xx pixels wide.
Of course it would be ideal if it worked.
But I don't see it that problematic. Why disable it on certain screens? More work, you need to test where it works and where it doesn't, it might still provide at least some information, even if not ideal, etc.
Currently I don't think we should spend 1 minute of resources on this, as long as it works on Notebooks and above. Once developers have too much time on their hand, I would be happy for them to look into this...
Different philosophies, I guess...
