Hi all,

I hope I'm posting this in the right board. Please feel free to move it if there is a better location.

I have a multilingual survey (not anonymized, closed access) and I'm using the Data Policy information and check on the welcome page.

What I found is that it is only possible to change the language via the dropdown if the participant checked the "I agree" box in the first place. I'd find this pretty strange from a participant perspective, because I might not be able to understand what I shall agree to before I choose the correct language. I checked it in different core themes (fruity, vanilla) and it's the same in all of them.
Is there a way around this? I'd like to be able to change the language without having to check the "I accept" box.

Info: The dropdown in the top right works slightly differently: The participant gets the information that it needs to check the box, but the language is changed anyways.

Looking forward to any information :)
Niels

Hi, Niels,
I testetd in 5.0.1. and in 3.25.16 and did not see any issue.
After selecting the new language and clicking "Change the language" the page always was displayed in the new selected language.

Which version are you using?
Which browser? And so on.

Thanks for the reply, @Joffm!

Sorry for missing out on this information! I'm using Version 3.22.2+200204, so it's pretty close to your testing in 3.25.16, mostly using Firefox in the newest version (88.0.1 (64-Bit) on Mac)...

And I assume you did not get any warnings when changed the language and did not checkmark the Data Policy checkbox?!

Of course not. I only changed the language(s).

Pretty close? Your version is from February 2020. The chances are pretty high that an update will fix your issue.

Hi, Niels,
maybe this solved issue is related to this.

-Fixed issue #16633: Error message when changing the data policy message language unless I check the box (Gabriel Jenik)

It's always a good idea to read the changelogs to see if an issue in an "antique" version is solved already.
