There is a bug in LS which randomizes the order of sub questions in survey logic file and responses export when we have "Random order" in advanced settings set to "Randomize on each page load". I do not know why this happens.I would like to have the order of sub questions to be same as the Subquestions in edit subquestions page.
This not only happens with sub question randomization. I have had this issue with randomizing questions and groups as well. When exporting the data it also is in random order.

That version is over 4 years old and no longer supported. I suggest updating to the latest stable version.

I am not able to upgrade because a lot of my customizations would not work with the newest version. Are you able to explain what a fix would be for it and I can work on implementing it on the back end myself?

You may try to activate the survey without the setting "Randomize on each page load".

This way the dataset should be created in "normal" order.
Now you change the setting to "randomized".

Give it a try.

It would probably already be enough to upgrade to the latest version of that branch, which should be something around 2.7x.

I doubt that in the latest version of this branch this bug is still there (but you never know).

In any way, I think it is quite problematic to collect potentially confidential/private data with a software that hasn't been updated 2016 (4,5 years). You should seriously consider to upgrade to LS 3.x. Or to LS 4.x once it is stable.

Just : unlog from admin, log as admin : check survey logic file. In my opinion : randomization don't happen.
