As part of a research, we are carrying out a questionnaire on LimeSurvey.
When activating it, we get this error message: "The table of responses to the questionnaire could not be created. Usually this is caused by having too many (sub) questions in the questionnaire Please try to remove questions from your questionnaire.
We tried to limit the number of sub-questions as much as possible, but it didn't work. I understood that we could get around this problem by going through a local server, but I don't understand how we can do that. Is the "manipulation" difficult to achieve?
If you use MySQL/MariaDB you have
with InnoDB engine: 1000 columns
with MyISAM engine: about 1570 columns.
If you really cannot reduce the amount of columns, you have to split your survey into two and merge them by the end-url of the first survey.
You may pass some parameters (if you calculated something in the first that you need in the second, and so on.)
