globaly changing email templates was created by edv
Hello,

i  want to change the text of the mail templates (for my language... german). Not only for one survey but globaly.
Can someone point me to the right file to alter?

You find the  source code in "application/core/LsDefaultDataSets.php".

BUT: To change the German text you will have to change your translation file.

Keep in mind that these language files can change during updates.

So you need to be aware of that. Maybe it might be interesting for you to create your own "language", e.g. German-EDV. But then, any update to the German language files would not make it into YOUR German. A vicious circle... ;-)

  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

Hello Holch,

i recognized this from Joffm's answer.
My original intention was not to create a new translation, but to change the (in my case german) text of the email templates (invitation etc.) for the whole LS installation to support some lazy users.
But now i think it is much simpler (an efficient) to give the text they should use in a tutorial or such.
