The order of questions is changing was created by AleksandraMikic

Hi, does anyone know what could cause question order to change? Questions are not set to occur randomly.

LimeSUrvey version ? Maybe an issue with your version

Currently, LS 4.x still has a lot of bugs. I can't recommend it for production use, only for testing at the moment.

If I remember right, I have read about a a similiar behaviour a couple of weeks ago, where questions were reordered. Maybe you can find the bug report in the bug tracker.

Help us to help you!

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

The system for reordering order can be done very easily by error in 3.X and 4.X . It was done using only mouse without clean validation.

Currently there are a little icon to fix the order in the menu.

It does not work, I change the order, lock it, and next time I log in, it is changed again.

I have the same exact problem

I have a survey with 70 questions, one day I open it and everything is in disorder.

I tried creating multiple groups so that no more than 10 questions are in the same group but it still happens, even when I reorder 4 questions in one subgroups, other questions will still change in the other groups. It's terrible, really frustrating and making the whole survey unusable.

I'm using Limesurvey Version 3.23.7+201006
