we have a problem with the export for a dual matrix question. We have the answer options that you can see in the screenshot. But the export only contains the first character of each answer option, e.g. if the user chooses "5-10<br/>Jahre" the export is "5" or for "< 1<br/>Monat" it is just "<". Is this some sanitising thing or so? Limesurvey 4.3.

Quite possible that HTML-Tags cause issues.
But you didn't tell us what kind of export format you used and where you imported that data. The issue with the HTML tags can be in the export file or the application you import data into. I recommend you just open a bug report. A bug in LS4 wouldn't be unusual.

Even if I change an option to "5 bis 10 Jahre" the exported value is only "5"
in EXCEL, csv, pdf.

But I never export the answer option text.
Usually I export the codes.
