I'm working with LimeSurvey 4.3.0+ 200616. I want to change the order of my questions, but both ways that are mentionned in the manual do not work. I cannot drag and drop questions and there is nothing in the menu where I can change the structure. Please help!

If your survey is not activated : you must use Structure system.

I noticed it's not possible to reorder in 4.x even after the survey is activated. I see the "blocked" symbol whenever I try to move a question

It's NEVER possible to reorder if survey is activated.

You have a sentence with this information when you activate survey.

If you can give me the link of manual for reordering : we can add a sentence

Ok, thanks. I actually DIDN'T have the survey activated and was having the moving issue. So I searched the forum, saw your previous answer, and thought it needed to be activated for some odd reason ( my mistake, I read it too quickly ).

I deactivated the survey again, and still have the same result. See attached animated GIF

I know it's not "Ergonomic" and easy to understand.

It's one of the reason i create the reorder plugin …

Thanks!! I should have tried that. I thought it was something more complex that just needing to unlock it.

I think just changing the icon to something different would help. Just text saying "unlock to move" or something similar would be very helpful.

Personnaly : i prefer to have a clean page for ordering.

Yes, I agree - I wasn't clear. I meant the ( / ) icon that appears when you hover over the left side might be easier to understand if it showed text with a hint about what the user needs to do when it popped up.
