Hi,

I have a translation in the PO file that uses this (").
But in the email I got (;quot&) instead of (")

Example:
דוא;quot&ל
Correct way should be:
דוא"ל

Is there a way of making it show the correct (")?

Does this happen only in this language (not sure which alphabet this is, Hebrew maybe?) or also in other languages?
Looks a little bit as if the entity is translated wrong..., because it should be " for ".

Maybe the problem appears due to the right to left orientation, because somehow instead of " the ";" comes first and the "&" comes last. Not sure where this happens though.

Just tested it on 3.22.17 and 3.22.19 and it displays perfectly fine.

So I guess you are on 4.x?

But also on 4.2.1 (the version that the Limesurvey demo is running) it looks fine, just like with 3.x.

 After reading this and thinking, I think I know why.
I think it's because of the company I use for the email.

OK, so the problem is within the emails sent?

Is this a standard Limesurvey text or is this a text that you included yourself somewhere?

"standard Limesurvey text" in Hebrew.
Don't know about other languages.

OK, I tested it with a question text included by me. So this could still be a limesurvey problem, depending where it is coming from, how it is parsed by limesurvey, etc. Did you check in the translate.limesurvey.org if it has been translated correctly there?

As @holch,
when I add hebrew as a language to a survey, copy the דוא"ל to the invitation text or the topic, then send the invitation everything is file despite of different mail clients.

Therefore I entered these options to the invitation text:
Code:
דוא;quot&ל

דוא"ל
In the received mail the second was displayed correct (as expected), the first was not.

I am sure you also did these tests. What happens when you did this?

But to clarify:

I have a translation in the PO file that uses this (").

Did you change the translation by PoEdit?
In this new translation of a phrase - which was one of the invitation text - you used דוא"ל ?
Did you get the correct result when entering this phrase manually?

In this case there might be an issue in PoEdit.

No, I did not test emails, because it was only discovered towards the end that this problem is email related.
