I am trying to use the Google map question functionality. I have registered an API with Google and pasted it into the global settings. However, when the question loads I get the following error.



The API has been configured for my URL.

LS Pro (hosted version) Version 3.17.4



If this is not fixable, is there a way to hide the search box for the MapQuest map? I am happy to use that instead, but I don't want the search box.

Seems the API key are not in the survey.

Did you double check the API key at https://..../admin/globalsettings#general

Thank you. I have contacted support and as per their advice spent 2-3 hours trying to navigate google's developer pages and try countless methods to fix it and nothing seems to work.
I don't have the time to keep battling google.
Therefore, instead, is there a code I can add to hide the search box for the MapQuest version?

In custom.css of theme (extended theme).

Else : if you're OK : you can send me your google map API key to check the error (no warranty of functionnality, my honor to not use it (and delete it from memory after checked)

Ok, created a free trial account. Got my own google maps API. Added a HTTP refferer and everything seems to be working fine without any issue. Could you perhaps try to create another API key and add the two domains as HTTP referrers?

In case you want to use openstreets + hide the search box, see @Denis' answer.

:blink: How do you do that … trying but seems even one call i must pay …

They had my card details (guess when I bought some stuff from Google Play in the past). And told me that I have a 300$ budget in the beginning + they won't charge me unless I tell them to do so.

Thanks, I tried creating a new google account, creating a fresh new API, adding the 2 URLs (both with and without /* at the end) and it still won't work (also checked to make sure there were no spaces in the API paste in global settings).
The pro support person was able to get it to work in my install with their API so I have no idea why it will never work with the ones I generate. I am just going to use MapQuest and hide the search box as per Denis' info.

Sorry to hear about your issues . As long as we are not able to replicate it, I can't really do that much from here.

Maybe you can contact the Google Support?

However, the openstreets map should do its job in the same manner
